Reliance Jio Starts Offering JioFi 4G Hotspot and LYF Smartphones on Jio.com
Ever since its official launch, Reliance Jio has been the talk of the town. After extending the free data offer until March 2017, Reliance is taking another step in the industry by providing JioFi 4G Hotspot and LYF smartphones on its online portal – Jio.com.
Presently, on the website, there are three LYF phones on offer – the LYF Water 11 (Rs. 7,999), LYF Water 8 (Rs. 8,999), and the LYF Earth 1 (Rs. 19,399). Interestingly, all the three devices are listed on a lower pricing than their launch price. Also, the website lists JioFi 4G hotspot device at Rs. 1,999, which is the updated pricing after its first price drop. The JioFi was originally launched at Rs. 2,899 and it got its first price cut in September.
To purchase the devices on Jio.com, buyers need to head to the ‘Devices’ section on the website. Reliance promises to deliver the products within three to five business days. The website also promises replacement for the damaged and defective products within seven days of product delivery.
Jio launched its IP based 4G-LTE (long-term evolution) services on September 5, 2016 and its operations are in the ramp up phase. It recently extended its free offer till March 31, 2017 and may further extend it following aggressive pricing of 4G data and launch of free voice packs by incumbent telcos.
Moreover, the telecommunication services industry in India is exposed to intense competition is capital intensive in nature and is subject to changes in technology and regulatory environment, the agency said. The agency has also assigned Jio’s Rs 100 billion bank loan facilities an ‘IND AAA’ with a Stable Outlook and an ‘IND A1+’ rating.

Moreover, to enjoy discounts on the products, users can download the JioMoney App for discount coupons. These coupons can also be availed at the physical stores by showing the coupon code on the app, which is scanned by the store employee. Buyers can also apply the coupon codes on Jio.com to get discounts on products. The website shows the coupon code option on the checkout page.

JioFi 2 4G, Lyf smartphones now selling on Jio store
The Jio rollout continues and this time, it is happening through the Jio e-commerce store. After free home delivery of Jio SIM cards, Reliance Jio is now selling Lyf phones and JioFi 2 portable hotspots on its e-commerce store Jio.com. For now only three smartphones are available for purchase on the Jio store.
Update: The smartphones that were listed on the site have now vanished and only the JioFi 2 portable hotspots is now available.

The company has also listed JioFi 4G portable hotspots at Rs 1,999 on the site. Jio claims to deliver the products in three to five working days and also offers easy replacement of the smartphone within seven days of delivery, in case the delivered product is damaged or defective.
Lyf Water 11: The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC processor. Lyf Water 11 comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB ROM which is expandable. The smartphone is backed by 2,100mAh battery and runs on runs on Android Marshmallow. On the camera front, the device comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone is selling at Rs 7,999 on Jio.com and Flipkart. It is priced at Rs 8,199 on Lyf's official online store.
Lyf Water 8: The phone features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core SoC processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow and comes with 16GB ROM which is expandable. It comes with 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Lyf Water 8 is backed by 2,600mAh battery.
The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 on Jio.com and Flipkart. The price is again higher on www.mylyf.com with Rs 9,299.
Lyf Earth 1: This is the costliest of the three phones and features a 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage is 32GB which can be expanded via microSD card. Lyf Earth 1 comes with dual rear-camera setup, 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone is backed by 3500 mAh battery.
Lyf Earth 1 will cost Rs 19,399 to those buying from Jio.com while on Flipkart it is selling for Rs 18,991. The smartphone is priced at Rs 19,499 on www.mylyf.com.

Facebook Introduces 'Live Audio' Feature
After successfully rolling out the live video feature, Facebook has now introduced "Live Audio" option - like traditional radio or podcasting - in your News Feed where users will be able to broadcast audio directly to the social network.
"We know that sometimes publishers want to tell a story on Facebook with words and not video. Our new 'Live Audio' option makes it easy to go live with audio only when that's the broadcaster's preferred format," said Shirley Ip, Product Specialist, and Bhavana Radhakrishnan, Software Engineer at Facebook in a blog post on Tuesday.
"One thing we've heard is that partners want new formats for going live. We announced Live 360 last week, and today we're excited to announce another way to go live on Facebook," they added.
Facebook has witnessed some Pages find creative ways to go live and reach audiences with audio only by using the Facebook Live API or by adding a still image to accompany their audio broadcast.
"We also know that publishers sometimes go live from areas that lack strong network connectivity. Though we alert the broadcaster if their signal is low, Live Audio presents another option for connecting with audiences in real time from low-connectivity areas," the post read.

ప్రస్తుతానికి ఆండ్రాయిడ్ ఫోనులకు ఆల్రెడీ రోల్ అవుతుంది, ఐ OS ఫోనులకు త్వరలోనే అవుతుంది. వెబ్ platform కు రెండు మూడు నెలలలో వస్తుందని రిపోర్ట్.
New Nokia Flagship Smartphone Images and Specs Leak Online
It seems like Nokia is planning to create a stir in the smartphone market once again. With the news of various Nokia devices already circulating all over the internet, we are still hearing rumors about a Nokia flagship smartphone that could debut in 2017.
A recent post on the Chinese blog, My Drivers, has once again revealed the images of a new Nokia-branded smartphone, which is tow to be released sometime in the next year.
The new leak suggests that the smartphone could be dubbed Nokia P and reveals key design elements of the upcoming device.
In addition, the Chinese blog, which is in possession of the images claims that the Nokia P will likely feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM.
It's also expected to come with a 23MP rear camera with Zeiss lens.
While there are no details about the screen size, previous rumors have indicated that the device might come with a Quad HD resolution display. The device should also run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
However, there is no mention of the price or the launch date as of now. We can just wait for now. More details on Nokia phones will surface online once the company holds a press conference at MWC (Mobile World Congress) Barcelona in February 2017.
Amidst such developments, it will be interesting to see what Nokia has been planning to develop and launch to mark its return to the mobile phone business. Furthermore, it looks like 2017 is going to be an exciting year with various manufacturers launching different flagship products for the consumers.
